Rapid Transformational Therapy® is a therapeutic approach developed by renowned psychologist and hypnotherapist Marisa Peer and has grown in popularity in recent years. RTT combines hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, neurolinguistic programming and psychotherapy to bring rapid and lasting change.

RTT® is a way of reprogramming our subconscious thoughts that are responsible for approximately 95% of what we subsequently feel and do. Therefore RTT® a suitable modality for many issues

A completely natural brain wave state where you brain waves are in theta. You are deeply relaxed and have a heightened awareness and concentration, making you more receptive to suggestions.

Extensively researched and proven, it offers a remarkably rapid means of altering behaviour.

You remain conscious, alert, and entirely in charge while experiencing deep relaxation.

It's a completely natural, safe, and drug-free state that you can exit whenever you choose.

No one can hypnotise you against your will, and even while in hypnosis, you have the ability to reject any suggestions that don't align with your goals.

Absolutely, hypnosis is accessible to everyone! It's a naturally occurring state of mine, known as the theta brain wave state.

Our brains naturally and frequently enter a hypnotic state (theta) during everyday activities like driving, watching a movie, or reading a book. You might discover yourself fully engaged in these activities without being aware of it.

RTT is not recommended however to those with epilepsy, schizophrenia or borderline personality disorder.

This question is quite dependent on the client and the issue faced. Most times, after a one month program clients see a significant transformation in their thoughts, behaviours and mindsets. However, for deeply ingrained issues it can take several sessions.

Healing and self development is a life long journey and can resemble peeling away layers of an onion; addressing one issue leads to relief and freedom and often uncovers the next step.

I can advise better on how many sessions you might need during our initial call.

Results in RTT® manifest in three stages, and these stages are solely contingent on the individual and the specific issue being addressed:

Immediate: Most clients feel lighter and clearer after the session.

Gradual: During that first month and the subsequent three months, you will notice shifts in your thinking and behaviour changing gradually.

Retrospective: Many clients message me after six months looking back having noticed further change. Change can be a like a domino effect and often it’s afterward you realise the significant transformation that has occurred in your life.

During hypnotherapy, you remain in control of your thoughts, actions, and decisions. The hypnotherapist serves as a guide to help you reach a state of heightened focus and relaxation, but you are not under their control. You can choose to follow the therapist's suggestions if they align with your goals and intentions, but you cannot be made to do something against your will or ethical beliefs while in a hypnotic state.

Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process in which you and the therapist work together to achieve specific therapeutic goals. Your level of cooperation and willingness to engage in the process is essential for its effectiveness. If at any point you feel uncomfortable or disagree with the suggestions given during hypnotherapy, you have the ability to reject or discontinue the session.

That’s because your brain loves you and it wants above all else to keep you alive. In fact it would rather keep you alive than make you happy, and it can be a bit rudimentary in its desire to protect you. Ultimately, what you’ve been choosing in the past didn’t kill you right ? Your brain actually perceives change as potential threat, maybe this new choice isn’t safe. Your brain ultimately likes what is predictable, even if it’s a source of unhappiness and will create resistance within your nervous system to return to whatever your normal is.

So what helps?
Reprogramming your subconscious mind, the thoughts and beliefs that are running in the background is an effective way to bring last change. When you partner this with somatic practices to regulate the nervous system you are able to bring change in a way that doesn’t activate your system into a threat response. Meaning that you can make real and lasting change.
