My story
How changing your
thoughts can change
your life

Hi!

I'm Laura and I've been where you are; my journey into reprogramming my subconscious mind, started first as a client.  

 

Within six months of working with my subconscious mind, I had made changes in my life that had previously seemed impossible. In a relatively short period of time I began to heal and release issues that I had struggled with for decades surrounding toxic relationships, codependency and boundaries.. all stemming from belief "I am unworthy".

 

As I shifted this mindset, I transformed.

I realised, I was worthy of love, worthy of kindness, worthy of connection.

 

It would be untrue to say it was always an easy journey, but the difference between reprogramming your thoughts to work with you as a positive team mate and encouraging coach, vs working against you... is profound. 

From the outside my life looked successful, thriving even. I had navigated out of religious cult that I grew up in, was in a long term relationship, at the top of my career in a job I found fulfilling and traveling the world. So why was unhappy and anxious? Why did I play small? Why did I stay in situations that I knew weren't good for me? 

 

The truth is that while I grown, healed some of past and built a life for myself, my past patterns still had me in a chokehold.

 

My beliefs about myself led me to make unhelpful decisions, maintain unhealthy relationships and kept me stuck and repeating limiting behaviours from the past.  

 

Sure on the outside things looked good. But on the inside I struggled with: hopelessness, sadness, CPTSD, high functioning anxiety, panic attacks, night terrors, sleep issues, emotional eating, codependency, low self esteem, perfectionism and even at times depression. 

 

For years, I took my proactive approach and I did "the work". I engaged in extensive therapy, trying all kinds of approaches, consuming podcasts, books, and programs vigorously, looking for an answer, and relief.

 

But the work was slow, and it was defeating to hit the same blockages; behaviours and triggers on repeat as I tried to make conscious changes. I didn't know it then, but I was trying to change from the 5% of my conscious mind, ignoring the beliefs that had been engrained in my subconscious from childhood.

Then... I learned about the subconscious mind...

As I began reading Carl Jung, Wayne Dryer, Louise Hay and Dr Joe Dispenza, I realised how powerful the thoughts we think are in creating our reality, most especially our self concept. The more I learned, the more I knew that to live the life I wanted, it was time to change the way I was thinking, most especially about myself. 

​

In my research, I stumbled upon Marissa Peer's Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®) an incredible tool for reprogramming the subconscious mind. I'll admit, at first it seemed to good to be true. I was used to therapy being hard work, confronting and requiring significant self reflection in between sessions. RTT® felt too easy in a way.

 

Could the subconscious mind really be that powerful?

 

Afterall, I already knew from the therapy I had done, why I was the way I was. However, the piece that had been missing was what I was making those experiences that mean about me. The beliefs I had formed about myself.

 

RTT® gave me a vehicle to get to the hidden root of the issues that I was facing, and the subsequent beliefs that were running in the background. It allowed me, with relative ease, a method to reprogram those thoughts to more helpful ones. 

 

By the end of the first month, I felt much peaceful, hopeful and light-hearted. My anxiety had greatly reduced and I felt more calm, happier and in control. By three months later, my confidence had grown enough to make significant and long overdue changes in my life that were empowering.

The change was so profound that four months later I returned and did three more sessions of RTT® all addressing this deep seated belief that I was unworthy. 

​

By the six month marker, I felt new. I had lost 20lbs of weight, was enjoying my weekends for the first time in almost a decade, felt optimistic and full of gratitude and even had attracted in my dream partner who matched my new energy. 

​

It sounds too good to be true, but reprogramming the subconscious mind really is that powerful. 

Because here's the thing, the thoughts we think create our story. The stories we tell ourselves, especially the stories about ourselves are the basis of our habits, how we show up in the world, how we interact with others and the way we speak to ourselves. Our thoughts create our self image, which influences the chances we will take, what we will accept and what we will expect for our lives
